Payroll Department

Payroll professionals provide confidential, accurate, and timely payroll services as mandated by governing regulations and CCPS policies and procedures enabling a harmonious relationship between employer and employee and other stakeholders. They remain current with regulatory agencies and keep abreast of developments in payroll technologies.

We welcome the opportunity to assist you with any concerns related to Payroll. The Payroll Department processes payroll for 2000+ employees in the 29 Cecil County Public School sites as well as Substitutes, Transportation, Maintenance Department and Central Office. Payroll operates on a fiscal year from July 1 through June 30. Employees are paid on a bi-weekly pay schedule, (every other Friday). Ten-month employees have the option of participating in a twelve-month pay plan. 

It is the practice of Cecil County Public Schools to pay employees via direct deposit.  Employees’ net pay is electronically transferred to any bank, credit union, or financial institution – checking or savings.  To access their payroll information, such as gross pay, deductions, and net pay, employees may go online to the Employee Self Service link.
